Dr. Mohammad Amin Koshnevisan
Board-Certified Pediatric Oral Surgeon
Dr. Amin is a fellowship-trained pediatric craniomaxillofacial and oral surgeon and the only full-time, fellowship-trained pediatric oral surgeon practicing in Manhattan. In addition to providing care at West End Ave Pediatric Dentistry, he serves as a full-time Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine, where he lectures to dental students and mentors Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents. He is also an attending surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of New York, where he regularly manages complex maxillofacial trauma, infections, and pathology. As part of the hospital’s Cleft and Craniofacial team, Dr. Amin provides specialized care to individuals born with facial differences.
Dr. Amin is actively engaged in clinical research and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. His passions extend to global surgery, participating in international medical missions to underserved areas. Outside of his professional work, Dr. Amin enjoys travel, photography, sports, stand-up comedy, and spending quality time with his wife and child.
